We are now looking for someone who wants to work in an LSS group home, where you want to develop the users and work closely and securely with your colleagues.

We will expand our staff group with an additional support assistant and are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting and providing service to individuals with various needs in their daily lives where a meaningful and safe environment is crucial, and where we create quality of life for those living here.

With us, the individual conditions and wishes of the users are at the center. We work closely with each person to provide support in daily life – always with respect, care, and commitment. You will work in a newly built and pleasant group home with six apartments, common areas, and staff rooms. The residence is located in a picturesque environment near Bansjön, where the tranquility outside the door contributes to a good working environment.

We offer a varied job in a competent team.

We have a rolling 6-week schedule with shifts during the day, evening, sleeping on-call, and every other weekend. Here you get both structure and variety – and above all, a job with heart.

The operation is run by the municipality with clear values and strong support from colleagues and management.

About the Position

All users have their own individual implementation, communication, support, and method plans that we work from. The interventions involve all aspects of these individuals' lives. Everything from supporting personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, personal shopping, leisure activities, and vacation planning. In short, everything that occurs in a home and everything that occurs in a person's life. We always start from the individual themselves and what they wish for the day, the week, or generally in life and adapt accordingly.

Every day we document what is important to know, as well as deviations from their implementation plan. Based on the needs and wishes of the residents, we collaborate with many different parties, such as relatives, legal representatives, daily activities, assistance coordinators, habilitation/occupational therapists, nurses/healthcare, etc.

The position is a permanent full-time employment.

Probationary employment may be applied.

Start date in February or by agreement.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with an educational background in child/youth, leisure, care/nursing education, or equivalent.

We follow the recommendations of the National Board of Health and Welfare for approved education (SOSFS 2014:2).

You have a theoretical focus in special education and experience working within the LSS target group.

It is very important that you feel secure in your professional role, documentation, collaboration with many different actors and colleagues, as well as with challenging behaviors.

A B driver's license is an advantage.

In addition to this, you have:

• At least 1 year of documented experience in providing support to individuals with varying degrees of challenging behavior and are confident in working with these users.
• You are accustomed to and confident in working with low-arousal approaches and see the whole in the methodology.
• Documented experience with cognitive aids.
• Documented experience in documentation and some administrative work.
• Documented experience in communication support, such as AAC, TAKK conversation mats, drawing talk, social stories, or other commonly used communication forms.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to work with and follow structured and individual support plans. You are engaged and secure in your professional role and competence within LSS.

You take responsibility for the development of the user, yourself, and the workplace and are a good educator with an easy time collaborating and communicating with different actors, users, and colleagues.

You can make your own correct decisions within the framework of your professional authority.
